"It was a pretty decent final test, this will give us some momentum," he (Löw) said.

Germany's diplomatic coach warned that "there is never a first XI at a major tournament."

"The pace in the tournament will be higher than it was today," he (Löw) said "This starting XI will be very similar to the one next week [against Portugal]."
On whether he will use Philipp Lahm at left-back or right-back, he replied: "Next week we will decide where Lahm will play and that's where he'll play for the entire tournament then."
Another question was which two of Holger Badstuber, Mats Hummels and Per Mertesacker will occupy central defence. "All three of them have international class. I will decide that next week as well," replied Löw. - from UEFA.com

Germany plays Israel in last test before Euro 2012 - 30 May 2012

'Battered' Schweinsteiger doubtful for Israel
"I will not use a battered player," said Löw from Germany's training camp in Tourrettes, France, as Schweinsteiger recovers from a demanding season.
"He is doing some individual training at the moment and I am sure he is physically and psychologically strong enough to put the injuries of last season behind him."
Israel friendly gives Löw a chance for fine tuning
"I see the game as a test, to try out this or that. A good result is desirable, it would help give the team a boost," Löw told reporters at Germany's training camp at Tourettes in the south of France on Tuesday. "But things only get really serious next week in Poland." - 29 May 2012
