Impressive Germany see off Hungary
Early penalty helps Germany defeat Hungary 3-0 in World Cup warmup

"I wasn't totally satisfied during the first half and during the break I told the players to increase the tempo," Löw said. "We still have two and a half weeks until the World Cup and despite the absence of Michael Ballack, our chances our good."
Germany Coach Joachim Löw delighted with Victory over Hungary
"Khedira played very well in the first half," Löw said, before adding, "I liked him. He was also very good in organising the game." The Germany coach also explained his reason for substituting his star after only 45 minutes of play. "He had muscle tightness, so we took him out as a precaution."
Neuer has done his job very well. He did not have much to do, but he played well throughout the match."

Löw: Volles Vertrauen in Lahm und Neuer

Philipp Lahm to captain Germany at World Cup
"Lahm has played in his position with great class and will take over the role of captain," Löw told reporters at their Italian training camp.
"Bastian Schweinsteiger, on the pitch, will play the role of Ballack and interpret it in his way while Philipp Lahm will become captain. Schweinsteiger will be the vice-captain," Löw said.
