Higuain Strike Lifts Argentina Over Hapless Hosts

"There is still some work to do in all areas of our game. We'll be working on this in the four weeks running up to the tournament," Löw told the German sports news agency SID.
"We have to discover our style of fast and aggressive football.
"We did not show our true colours against Argentina, but we will play well at the World Cup."
Löw refused to criticise his goalkeeper Rene Adler after his error let in Higuain to score. "He made the right decision in coming off his line, but Argentina took it well," the German manager said. - from timesofindia
Argentina beats Germany 1-0
"It was a very tactical game against a very good team," Germany coach Joachim Löw said. "We didn't manage to put them under pressure. We lacked the courage to do more up front."

(on outfield team selection) Löw said that "as coach, one is of course prepared to carry out an experiment or two in such a game."
"We will have to be enormously clever tactically tomorrow against this group of outstanding individualists," he said. "We can neutralize them only with very, very clever tactics and, above all, with clear discipline in defense."

After Maradona was pictured by local media with a cigar in his mouth during training, Löw arrived at his own news conference on Tuesday with a cigar -- joking that "I'll apply to be Argentina coach."
